Kothagudem: Tribal man found dead in check dam

The deceased, Kunja Biksham (41), was found dead in a check dam near the village on Monday. According to locals, Biksham's nephew, Kunja Pravin, and a close relative, Malkam Gangaiah, took him to the area near the check dam on Sunday night under the pretense of drinking alcohol.

Kothagudem: A tribal man was allegedly killed by his relatives accusing him of performing black magic at Raachabandla Koyagudem in Julurpad mandal in the district.

took him to an area near the check dam on Sunday night in the pretext of consuming liquor.

The duo was suspected to have killed Biksham by smashing his head with a stone and then throwing the body into the check dam. The locals who found his body in the check dam informed Julurpad police. CI, Indrasena Reddy and SI, Rana Pratap with the help of villagers retrieved the body.

A case in connection with the incident was booked at Julurpad police station and investigation into the incident was underway. The accused were reportedly taken into custody.
