Kothagudem: Two tenth standard students drowned in river Godavari at Bhadrachalam in the district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Yedla Pravallika (15) and Chintala Madhu (15), both residents of the temple town. According to police, the two girls went to the river to wash clothes.
After washing clothes they went into the river for a bath and drowned. Their bodies were fished out from the river and local police booked a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
