KPHB police apprehend six for objectionable banners targeting BJP leader

Six persons were arrested by KPHB Police in Hyderabad for allegedly putting up unauthorised banners carrying defamatory content against BJP MP Etela Rajender on a foot overbridge.

Hyderabad: The KPHB police apprehended six persons for allegedly erecting unauthorised banners containing objectionable, false and defamatory content against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP, Etela Rajender on the Foot Over Bridge at KPHB.

The suspects were identified as Janyavula Ramakrishna (51), Gajula Rakesh (34), Syed Qudruth Ahmed (50), Syed Mehraj (35), Shaik Kaleem (31) and Naseeruddin alias Afroze (32).


According to the police, the banners were deliberately displayed with the intention of tarnishing the reputation of the BJP leader. Based on a complaint, the police registered a case and identified the six persons. All of them were apprehended.
