Krishank asked to appear again before Nampally police on September 28

BRS social media convener Manne Krishank appeared before Nampally police for questioning but was kept waiting for over six hours. He was asked to appear again before CCS police on September 28 and alleged that the police were targeting BRS leaders.

Hyderabad: BRS social media convener Manne Krishank appeared before the Nampally police on Monday for questioning in connection with a case registered against him over the attack on the party working president KT Rama Rao‘s staff by masked men inside Saifabad police station.

However, he was kept waiting for over six hours without being questioned and was subsequently asked to appear again before the Central Crime Station (CCS) police on September 28.

Krishank arrived at the police station around noon wearing a T-shirt carrying the message, “How can a shell company get Rs 200 crore land?”, referring to a land allotment involving the brothers of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

Speaking to the media, the BRS leader said he would cooperate with the investigation but questioned the purpose of making him wait without questioning. He said he would continue to raise issues concerning the people and question the Revanth Reddy government. He alleged that the police were targeting BRS leaders instead of investigating allegations raised by a woman entrepreneur against the Chief Minister’s close aide in connection with GO 68.

The police arrested Krishank from his residence in Secunderabad Cantonment on September 18, after breaking open the locks of the gates and doors of his house. However, the court rejected his remand over the social media comment and asked him to cooperate with the police in the investigation.
