Hyderabad: Krishna Agro Bio Products, which has been supplying nanobiocapsules to farmers for the past six years, got the licence for encapsulation technology developed by ICAR-lndian Institute of Spices Research (Kozhikode).
This technology involves encapsulation of micro-organisms of interest in a gelatin capsule for delivery to agriculture fields and crops for enhanced soil nutrient solubilisation, growth and yield. It can be used for delivering all kinds of agriculturally important micro-organisms like nitrogen fixers, nutrient mobilizers, plant growth promoting rhizobacteria, trichoderma and others.
This technology will enable smart and precise delivery to crops and also maintain high microbial population. Additionally, it is stable in room temperature and has a high shelf life. KABP will now be manufacturing and distributing other nutrient mobilisers directly to farmers by using the e-commerce route through the Krishna Agro Bio Products website and app, Suman, Marketing Head, Krishna Agro Bio Products, said in a release here.
