Hyderabad:  The Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) will conduct its meeting on August 27 to discuss various key issues including sharing of river water with officials from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the current water year.

Telangana has already requested the board to conduct a full board meeting. It said the matter related to notification of jurisdiction of projects in Krishna basin by KRMB was an issue having serious consequences on the State and it has to be discussed in detail in the full board meeting.

Providing adequate funds, utilizing surplus water river water, carry over unused share of water by Telangana to the next water year and providing a copy of Detailed Project Report (DPR) pertaining to Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme among other issues are expected to come up for discussion.
