KT Rama Rao meets KCR, briefs him on Formula-E case
Meeting came a day after BRS working president's seven-and-a-half-hour interrogation by the Anti-Corruption Bureau
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao met party chief and his father K Chandrashekhar Rao at the latter’s Erravalli residence on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Friday evening. The meeting came a day after Rama Rao’s seven-and-a-half-hour interrogation by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in the Formula-E race case.
Sources indicate that the former Minister updated Chandrashekhar Rao on the details of the questioning, during which a team of four senior IPS officers posed 82 questions. He is said to have answered all queries patiently and assured his cooperation for further inquiries.
Rama Rao also appraised the former Chief Minister about the legal options being pursued including status of petitions filed in the Telangana High Court and the Supreme Court in this regard. Chandrashekhar Rao is learnt to have asked the party leaders to be prepared to face such consequences and continue their fight against the Congress government on people’s issues.
On his return to his Nandinagar residence, Rama Rao was warmly welcomed by his family, including his mother Shobhamma, wife Shailima, and sister K Kavitha. He reportedly spoke to Chandrashekhar Rao over the phone on Thursday night and followed it up with the in-person briefing on Friday.
