Hyderabad: With the Congress government taking a U-turn over the BC reservations hike, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the party has proved that all its guarantees, promises and declarations are nothing but political posturing. He suggested Congress Lok Sabha floor leader Rahul Gandhi to change his name to “Election Gandhi”.

Denouncing the Congress’s BC Declaration as a cent per cent lie and a complete farce, Rama Rao said the Congress government had once again proved its lack of commitment to BC reservations.

“Lies! Damn lies! Nothing but lies! Yesterday’s Assembly session exposed two things – the disastrous government that has no clarity and the shameless lies Congress peddled in the name of BC Declaration,” he said.

Criticising the Congress government’s stark U-turn on the promised 42 per cent BC reservation, the BRS working president pointed out that the ruling party was trying to blame the Centre instead of taking responsibility.

“You never even had the intention to work towards 42 per cent BC reservations. Passing the buck to the Central government only exposes how fake your commitment is,” he added.

The attack comes amid growing discontent over the Congress government’s handling of the Social, Economic, Employment, Education, Political, and Caste Survey-2024, which has sparked accusations of data manipulation and lack of transparency.
