Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao assured unemployed youth Venu of full support after he allegedly attempted suicide three days ago, citing his demand for a job calendar and recruitment notifications. He spoke to Venu over the phone, offered him encouragement and assured him that the BRS would stand by him.
Rama Rao said Venu’s suicide note reflected the distress of lakhs of unemployed youth and described it as a chargesheet against the Congress government’s alleged false promises and failures.
Following instructions from the BRS working president, party leader A Rakesh Reddy met Venu on Tuesday and arranged a telephone interaction with Rama Rao. Venu, a resident of New Lakshmipuram in Mudigonda mandal of Madhira constituency, said he took the extreme step over the delay in the State government issuing the job calendar and recruitment notifications. He rubbished the Congress leaders’ attempts to portray his suicide attempt as stemming from a personal love affair.
