Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of double standards on democracy and the Constitution. Following the arrest of BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank for questioning Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy about his family’s rising wealth, he demanded that the Congress leader stop making a mockery of the Constitution.
“Rahul Gandhi wants to be Prime Minister, but acts like a coward, a bully and an undemocratic human,” he said.
In a statement, Rama Rao said Rahul Gandhi preached the Constitution while running anarchy and encouraging defections in Telangana through Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He also accused him of raising the issue of “Vote Chori” while making Revanth Reddy, whom he described as the original vote-for-note peddler, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
He stated that while Rahul Gandhi could make baseless allegations against others, Krishank was arrested for questioning alleged corruption of the Revanth Reddy family with evidence. “Rein in your puppet, Rahul. Stop making a mockery of the Indian Constitution,” he remarked.
The BRS working president accused the Congress government of filing cases against those questioning the alleged corruption of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. “You question the corruption of Rahul Gandhi Ji’s unlimited ATM called Revanth Reddy. Of course the Feku Gandhi of 420 promises will get cases filed,” he said.
Rama Rao declared that the BRS would not be deterred by the cases and vowed that the party would continue to expose the corruption of the Congress government. “File as many as you want, Mr Feku Gandhi; BRS will continue to expose the corrupt Congress thugs. This is my promise to you. Many more to come,” he said.
