Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao launched a blistering attack on the Congress government, terming it a ‘garbage government’ for its failure to maintain basic civic hygiene. People were suffering due to unhygienic conditions while the Congress leaders were preoccupied with collection of commissions and corruption, he said.
Taking to X, Rama Rao stated that Hyderabad and several towns across Telangana were reeling under stench from unattended sewage and garbage. Due to lack of coordination between the municipal and health departments, people were suffering, he said, pointing out that the negligence had led to a spike in seasonal diseases, with both government and private hospitals struggling to handle the influx of patients.
Drawing a contrast with the BRS regime, he said that earlier GHMC, municipal administration and health departments would conduct joint review meetings two months ahead of monsoon to prepare an action plan for preventive measures.
“Now, even in the middle of the monsoon, no such preparedness is visible,” he remarked.
