KTR calls Indiramma Bharosa ineffective, says Revanth Reddy is traitor for farmers
Reacting to the Cabinet's decision on Rythu Bharosa, Rama Rao accused the Congress of neglecting farmers by failing to implement even a single farmer-focused scheme despite numerous appeals. He described the Congress as "synonymous with fraud and deceit," comparing it to an unhelpful relative who burdens the family, and labeled Revanth Reddy a traitor to farmers.
Telangana High Court on Wednesday accepted the lunch motion petition filed by BRS working president KT Rama Rao.
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday called out the Congress government’s betrayal of farmers by restricting the Rythu Bharosa investment support to farmers to Rs 12,000 per acre per annum, instead of the promised Rs 15,000. He reminded that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy himself, as the then TPCC president, had promised to provide Rs 15,000 per acre per annum to farmers and another Rs 12,000 per annum to farm labourers.
Responding to the Cabinet’s decision on Rythu Bharosa, Rama Rao criticised the Congress for failing to implement a single farmer-centric scheme despite repeated pleas.
“The Congress is synonymous with fraud and deceit,” he said, likening the party to a useless relative who is a burden on the family and Revanth Reddy as a traitor to farmers.
He pointed out that the much-publicised Warangal Rythu Declaration and Rahul Gandhi’s promises to farmers were hollow.
“After promising Rs 15,000 as investment support, Congress slashed it to Rs 12,000 during implementation. Shame, shame,” he said, adding, “This is not governance but a conmen’s show.”
