KTR calls on Chilkur chief priest, slams Congress govt over law and order deterioration

Speaking to the media after meeting Rangarajan and his father, M.V. Soundarajan, on Monday, Rama Rao demanded prompt action against the culprits. He urged the government to take a firm stand against those responsible, irrespective of their motives. Additionally, he called for enhanced security measures to safeguard Rangarajan’s family and prevent any further incidents.

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao called on Chilkur Balaji Temple chief priest CS Rangarajan, who was recently attacked at his residence, and condemned the incident as a heinous act. He lashed out at the Telangana government, calling the attack a clear indication of the worsening law and order situation in the State.

“If this can happen to a priest serving God, imagine the plight of common people,” he remarked.

Speaking to mediapersons after meeting CS Rangarajan and his father MV Soundarajan on Monday, Rama Rao demanded for swift action against the perpetrators. He urged the government to act with an ironfist against those responsible, regardless of their agenda. He also called for full security for Rangarajan’s family to prevent further incidents.

Highlighting Chilkur Balaji’s global significance, the BRS working president said attacking a family dedicated to temple service was akin to insulting the God. He assured full support to the priest’s family on behalf of the BRS and pressed for stringent action to restore public confidence.
