Hyderabad: Amid reports about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar getting a clean chit from the Income Tax department and release of properties worth Rs 1,000 crore, BRS working president KT Rama Rao cautioned Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi about Congress leaders in Telangana using the same washing machine to come out clean. He questioned the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) silence over Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

“Don’t be surprised if your Telangana Chief Minister (Revanth Reddy) and Revenue Minister (Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy) are using the same Washing Machine (assuming it’s happening without your knowledge),” he cautioned Rahul Gandhi. He also asked the Congress Lok Sabha leader to seek clarity from the ED, asking why no case or statement had been filed against Srinivas Reddy despite raids conducted two months ago.

“Aur Hamein Bhi Raaz Batayiye Zaroor” (Please do share the secret with us),” he sarcastically added. His remarks refer to alleged selective actions by Central agencies, by reportedly favouring political allies of the ruling party at the Centre, while targeting opposition leaders.
