Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned the alleged indecent behaviour of Congress MLA Malreddy Rangareddy towards a young woman while travelling on an RTC bus.

Reacting to a viral video purportedly showing the MLA touching the woman without her consent, Rama Rao termed the incident disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. He questioned Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy whether he would remain silent if the woman were his daughter.

In another post, the BRS working president criticised the alleged detention of journalist Rekha at the Cyber Crime Station. He said she was being made to wait at the station with her infant after being questioned over her coverage of allegations raised by BRS spokesperson Manne Krishank against the Chief Minister’s family.

“This is the Mohabbat Ka Dukaan where an infant is not allowed to be fed by her mother. Her crime; she reports on the corruption of Rahul Gandhi’s Gandha ATM called Revanth Reddy. Well done Rahul Gandhi,” he posted on X.

The Cyber Crime Station police visited Rekha’s residence around midnight on Tuesday and directed her to appear at the station on Wednesday. She was made to wait at the police station with her infant till late at night, in the absence of women constables. BRS legal cell lawyers later questioned police over her detention, following which she was released, the party said.
