Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned the arrest of former Digital Media Director Konatham Dileep, calling it illegal. Terming the Congress government shameless, he reminded that the arrest was in violation of the High Court directives.

“How long will this mafia show run Revanth? Let me tell you, we aren’t scared of arrests,” he said, adding that they were fighters and would continue to fight the Congress government, both legally and democratically.

Dileep was arrested upon his return from the US where he went to attend the launch of a memoir book dedicated to his late father Konatham Bakka Reddy. He was allegedly taken into custody as soon as he arrived in the Hyderabad airport, despite the High Court permission to visit the US. Over the past year, around 15 cases have been filed against Dileep which he described as illegal and a form of harassment for questioning the Congress government’s failures.
