Karimnagar: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao extended financial support to the family of a 17-month-old boy who underwent a major heart surgery recently.
Kadari Vishwa, a native of Karimangar town, underwent heart surgery two months ago. The helpless family members, who spent large amount of money on the surgery, approached the government for help.
The boy’s mother, Anusha, appealed to Rama Rao for help through a tweet tagging the Minister on July 10. Responding immediately, Rama Rao called up BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar and instructed him to help the boy.
Based on Rama Rao’s instructions, Kamalakar on Sunday handed over Rs 10,000 to Anusha at his camp office here. The Minister also assured of all help in the further treatment of Vishwa besides providing Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He also instructed the district officials to help the boy’s family every month.
Kamalakar said Rama Rao, who was just a tweet away, was helping the needy people always by alerting the government machinery. The State government was always working for the welfare of the poor.
