Industries Minister KT Rama Rao meets Aishwarya Reddy's family
Hyderabad: Industries Minister KT Rama Rao extended financial assistance to the family of Aishwarya Reddy who committed suicide since her family could not afford online education during the Covid lockdown.
Aishwarya was a native of Shadnagar and was pursuing her education from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. When the incident was brought to the notice of the Minister, he immediately responded and assured support to the family.
On Thursday, Aishwarya’s family met Rama Rao at Pragathi Bhavan. After enquiring about their well-being, the Minister, in his personal capacity, donated Rs 2.50 lakhs to the family and also assured to provide a double bedroom house. The Minister said it was very unfortunate that the family lost an educated person. He assured to stand by the family in the future as well.
During the interaction, the family members said they were shattered by the untimely demise of their daughter. “We thank Rama Rao for his support. It has given us moral strength during these tough times,” the family said.
