Hyderabad: Hailing the rise of a local electric vehicle startup, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday heaped praise on Parshuram Paka from Sircilla and Gravton Motors founded by him. It was a classic example of success fuelled by State support, he said.
“Want to see how wonderful things happen? Give an innovator an inspiring ecosystem, and the result will be fast-paced growth and a fabulous story! This gentleman, Parshuram Paka, from Siricilla, is a shining example,” Rama Rao posted on X.
He lauded the success of Parshuram, an engineer from Siricilla, who returned from the United States to launch Gravton Motors, which today manufactures world-class electric motorcycles in Telangana. Gravton has designed and built its indigenous motors, batteries and control systems.
Calling it a true “Made-in-India, Made-for-the-World” story, he said they had already set a 4,000 km Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K) world record ride and were now expanding to Kenya, the Philippines and Peru.
“It’s wonderful to see such homegrown innovation driving India’s EV journey! Met him in Coimbatore yesterday and got first-hand updates on this fantastic journey. He described the success story as just “energy booster ‘I needed ! Congratulations, Parshuram & team,” Rama Rao added.
