KTR hands over sanction letter for 2BHK, Rs 4L assistance to Inter student

Nalgonda: Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao on Wednesday handed over sanction letters for Rs four lakh financial for purchase of new autorickshaw and a double bedroom house to Naramalla Sabitha, an Intermediate student, who was financially supporting her family by operating an autorickshaw.
Sabitha is a native of Vangamarthi village of Shaligowrarm mandal in Nalgonda district and studying second year of Intermediate course in Government junior college at Nakrekal.
A villager, tagging the Minister, tweeted saying Sabitha was supporting her family by running an autorickshaw after the death of her father about four years ago. Responding, Rama Rao instructed the District Collector of Nalgonda to allot a double bedroom house and financial assistance for purchase of an autorickshaw.
Sabitha was taken to Pragathi Bhavan by the Project Director of Housing Raja Kumar as per the instruction of the Minister. In the presence of Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, Rama Rao felicitated Sabitha and appreciated her.
Rama Rao enquired about Sabita’s health, education, and future goals. He stated that what Sabita was doing was not a small job. It takes a lot of hard work and will power to take up something like this, he added.
On coming to know about Sabitha’s dream to become a doctor, Rama Rao assured that the State government would extend financial help to her for higher education.
He appreciated her saying that she is a symbol of strength and inspiration for young girls.
After the meeting, Minister tweeted: “As promised, met this young & supremely confident girl Sabita. Impressed with her clarity of thoughts & expression. Handed over copies of 2BHK proceeding & an auto rickshaw as she had asked. Also promised to support her education pursuits (sic).”
Sabita expressed happiness and thanked the Minister for his support. She also stated that this will give her tremendous encouragement in achieving bigger goals in life.
Sabitha’s father Narsaiah, who was an auto driver, died four years back due to health problems. Her mother Ramanamma runs a small hotel at their village. Sabitha was operating the autorickshaw owned by the family to support her family after college hours.
