KTR, Harish pay tributes to tribal legend Kumram Bheem on death anniversary

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao and senior MLA T Harish Rao paid rich tributes to tribal freedom fighter Kumram Bheem on his death anniversary on Tuesday.
Describing him as a warrior who fought for the rights of Adivasis with the slogan “Jal, Jungle, Zameen,” they said the spirit of Bheem’s struggle continued to inspire the Telangana movement and the fight for self-respect.
Taking to X, Rama Rao recalled that under the BRS government, the Asifabad district was renamed in Bheem’s honour, a memorial park was established at his native place Jodeghat, and a major Adivasi Bhavan was constructed in Hyderabad to commemorate his legacy.
He stated that Bheem’s life symbolised courage, self-respect, and resistance against oppression, and remains an enduring inspiration for future generations.
