Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao strongly condemned the attempted attack on Chief Justice of India BR Gavai inside the Supreme Court, calling it a disturbing sign of growing intolerance in the country. He said intolerance has reached alarming levels, and the attack was an outrageous example of it.

Calling the incident a shameful assault on judicial dignity, Rama Rao said it was not merely an attack on an individual but on the institution of justice itself. “No disagreement, even on sensitive issues like faith, justifies violence. Such behaviour threatens the foundation of democracy,” he warned.

He was also appalled by certain toxic comments on social media against the Chief Justice and blamed it on ideology. “The ideology that felt no remorse for killing Mahatma Gandhi will certainly not regret assaulting the Chief Justice of India,” he added.

Former Minister and senior MLA T Harish Rao also condemned the attack, terming it shameful. He demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice immediately.
