Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday praised Mukhra-K former sarpanch Gadge Meenakshi for her heartfelt and traditional way of inviting party members to the BRS silver jubilee celebrations.
Comparing her gesture to inviting relatives to a family function, he said her door-to-door invitations reflected Telangana’s cultural values and emotional bond that people of Telangana share with former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. Stating that such efforts strengthen the party’s connect with four crore people and exemplify the dedication of grassroots workers, he congratulated Meenakshi and all BRS leaders and activists in the village, calling them the true soldiers of the party and strong pillars of support.
Meanwhile, auto drivers’ unions have extended their full support to the BRS silver jubilee meeting set to be held at Elkathurthy near Warangal. At Telangana Bhavan, the unions representatives met Rama Rao and handed over a donation cheque of Rs 26,000 for the event. Thanking them for their gesture, he returned the cheque, asking the union to use it to support families of deceased auto drivers. “Auto drivers are in distress. We will stand by you,” he said.
