During a preparatory meeting at the home of Dallas-based entrepreneur Anil Grandhi, BRS NRI global coordinator Mahesh Bigala and BRS NRI USA advisory board chairman Thanneru Mahesh, along with community leaders such as Dayakar Pusukuri, Satish (ATA), Vamsi Reddy (TTA), and Raj Pradhal, pledged their full support to ensure the event's grand success.

Accusations have been made that funds intended for public welfare were being diverted into private pockets. This claim is not solely from the BRS; over 200 contractors, who had not received payment for their bills unless they paid commissions, protested by storming the Finance Minister’s office in the Secretariat. They raised concerns about the prevalent commission culture, he said.

He stated that they were holding the establishment accountable and giving a voice to the voiceless. Expressing strong disapproval of the police's role in silencing them through case filings, he urged the police to take note that the BRS would be coming to power in the next elections.

Chandrashekhar Rao, emphasizing that the operation primarily focused in neighboring Chhattisgarh, condemned the massacre as unjust and "against dharma." He urged the Centre to halt the killings and instead invite the Maoists for peace talks to hear their concerns.

He recalled how, as if the local leaders were not enough, "duplicate" Gandhis arrived from New Delhi and promised Rs. 15,000 under Rythu Bandhu, a higher amount than what KCR was offering, and questioned what happened to that promise.

Speaking at the massive rally in Elkathurthy, he highlighted that Telangana, from its formation as a separate state, has evolved into a progressive region due to the tireless efforts of its leaders and the sacrifices of its people.

He recalled that even the word 'Telangana' was banned in the Assembly, with the Speaker issuing a ruling on the matter, while addressing the party's silver jubilee meeting at Elkakurthy. He emphasized that at every crucial moment, it was the BRS leaders who made personal sacrifices for the cause of Telangana.

Beginning by highlighting Telangana’s journey of growth since the BRS (formerly TRS) took office in 2014, Rao recalled how the State garnered numerous awards and achieved impressive progress across various sectors, including per capita income and GSDP.

Rao arrived at the venue by 6.30 pm and requested the crowd to rise and observe a moment of silence in honor of the 26 tourists who lost their lives in the terror attack. Only after this solemn tribute did he commence the proceedings of the meeting.

With meticulous planning and grand scale arrangements, the silver jubilee meeting is being touted as a landmark event in the party’s history and also a crucial moment in Telangana’s current politics.

The Telangana High Court issued notices to the State Government and Hyderabad police over the denial of permission for the BRS Silver Jubilee public meeting. The Court sought an explanation on the grounds for rejection after the BRS challenged the decision, terming it arbitrary and a violation of democratic rights.

He wants the leaders, workers and others to participate in the meeting in a big numbers and make it a grand success

This year was going to be a busy year for the BRS as it would be organizing its silver jubilee celebrations. There would be year-long celebrations in all districts and there would be training sessions for party workers, he said, adding that emphasis would be on the membership drive which would be done digitally using mobile apps.

Preparations are underway to organise events on the occasion across multiple nations throughout the year
