KTR offers prayers at Ujjaini Mahankali temple

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday offered prayers at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad on the occasion of the Bonalu festival. BRSLP deputy floor leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav, former Minister and MLA G Jagadish Reddy, and Amberpet MLA Kaleru Venkatesh accompanied him.
Speaking on the occasion, Rama Rao said the people of Hyderabad and Secunderabad were celebrating Bonalu with devotion. He recalled that the BRS government had declared Bonalu an official State festival and allocated funds to temple committees. He said the BRS government developed the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri at a cost of Rs 1,800 crore. He also prayed to the deity for abundant rainfall and the prosperity of farmers.
