During the ‘Rangam’ ritual at Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad, oracle Swarnalatha predicted abundant rainfall for Telangana and warned of a possible new pandemic. She urged citizens to stay vigilant and advised five weeks of prayers this year.

Thousands of devotees, mostly women, gathered at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple in Secunderabad on Sunday for Bonalu celebrations. Despite heavy crowds and delays due to VVIP visits, the temple witnessed colourful and energetic festivities from early morning hours.

The police have advised the commuters not to use roads from Secunderabad railway station to Patny – Paradise junction – Begumpet – Punjagutta as they will remain congested from July 13-15, 2025.

The complainant alleged that the group used a drone camera to capture visuals of the barrage without obtaining prior permission or providing any intimation.

The oracle, Mathangi Swarnalatha, stood on top of the earthen pot to evoke Goddess Mahankali.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other public representatives offered prayers and participated in special puja of Goddess Mahankali.

During the meeting, the Endowments Minister said the Bonalu festivities at the popular Ujjaini Mahankali temple, Secunderabad would be conducted on July 21.

The Prime Minister presented a silk sari and other offerings to the Goddess.
