KTR pays last respects to Kavuri Sambasiva Rao
BRS working president KT Rama Rao visited the residence of late Union Minister Kavuri Sambasivara Rao in Hyderabad to pay his last respects and console the bereaved family. Accompanied by senior leaders, he recalled Sambasivara Rao’s contributions during the Telangana movement, particularly his visit to Sircilla as Union Textile Minister to interact with loom workers.

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao paid his last respects to former Union Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao who passed away on Wednesday, at the latter’s residence here on Thursday. He also called on the bereaved family members and extended his condolences.
Former Ministers V Srinivas Goud and Puvvada Ajay Kumar, former MP Nama Nageswara Rao, MLC Dasoju Sravan and Maganti Sunitha Gopinath accompanied him.
Speaking on the occasion, Rama Rao recalled his association with Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, particularly during the Telangana movement after K Chandrashekhar Rao’s hunger strike in 2009. He said that despite ideological differences, Sambasiva Rao maintained a cordial relationship and showed concern for people’s issues.
He recalled that as the then Union Textile Minister, Sambasiva Rao visited Sircilla during the peak of the statehood agitation and interacted directly with loom workers to understand their problems. He said he had great personal respect for the veteran leader and prayed for peace to his soul.
