KTR pays tribute to Telangana icon Chakali Ailamma
On the occasion of Chityala Ailamma’s death anniversary, BRS working president KT Rama Rao paid homage to the legendary figure of the Telangana peasant movement. He described Ailamma as a revolutionary who ignited the armed struggle for land and dignity, and praised her enduring legacy as a symbol of Bahujan awareness and women's bravery.
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao paid rich tributes to Chakali (Chityala) Ailamma on the occasion of her death anniversary. He saluted the Telangana icon, who remained a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Telangana struggle.
Taking to X, Rama Rao hailed Ailamma as the revolutionary who sparked the Telangana armed peasant struggle. Remembering her role in the fight for land and livelihood, he said Ailamma’s defiance against the oppressive regime made her a symbol of Bahujan consciousness and women’s courage.

He reminded that the K Chandrashekhar Rao government has officially celebrated Ailamma’s birth anniversary every year to ensure her sacrifices and struggles are passed on to future generations.
