Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao paid rich tributes to Telangana armed peasant struggle icon Chityala (Chakali) Ailamma on her birth anniversary on Friday, terming her a symbol of courage and resilience.
He recalled Ailamma’s fight for land and livelihood against oppressive regimes to be an enduring inspiration. He said the BRS government ensured her legacy is preserved by introducing her life story in school curricula, naming the Palakurthi market yard after her, and officially observing her birth and death anniversaries.
The BRS working president asserted that Ailamma’s sacrifice continues to inspire future generations to uphold Telangana’s spirit of struggle and self-respect.
