KTR pays tributes to PV Narasimha Rao on death anniversary
BRS Working President KT Rama Rao paid tribute to former PM PV Narasimha Rao on his 21st death anniversary, praising his role as architect of modern India, highlighting his economic reforms, and recalling honours conferred by the Telangana government

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao on Tuesday paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratna PV Narasimha Rao, the former Prime Minister of India, on his 21st death anniversary, calling him the architect of modern India and a source of immense pride for Telangana.
He described Rao as “the builder of new India and Telangana’s beloved son” and emphasised that Rao is a matter of pride for the entire nation.”As Prime Minister, economist, politician, reformer, and a scholar, the services rendered by PV Narasimha Rao are eternally memorable,” he noted.
He hailed Rao’s economic reforms as historic, noting that they “paved the way for the construction of modern India.”
KT Rama Rao also highlighted the honours bestowed upon Rao by the previous BRS government after the formation of Telangana state in 2014. The K Chandrashekhar Rao-led administration grandly organised Rao’s birth centenary celebrations, renamed Necklace Road as PV Narasimha Rao Marg, named the Veterinary University after him, and installed his statue.
The government had also passed a resolution urging the Centre to confer the Bharat Ratna on Rao (which was awarded posthumously in 2024) and honoured his daughter by appointing her as an MLC. KT Rama Rao offered “homage” to PV Narasimha Rao on the occasion of his death anniversary.
