Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Union government’s inaction against the alleged “RR Tax” in Telangana, despite the Prime Minister’s earlier remarks on the issue. He reminded that it has been over four months since Modi first spoke about the “RR Tax” and asked for any specific reasons for not initiating any action by the Centre in this regard.
Taking to X, Rama Rao pointed out the silence of BJP leaders in Telangana, including Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, on the alleged corruption by the Congress in the State. “While you say Congress in Telangana has been indulging in massive corruption, why do neither of your colleagues in Cabinet Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay refuse to speak against ‘RR Tax‘ or other corrupt practices of the Congress?” he questioned.
The BRS working president went on to question whether the BJP leaders in Telangana did not agree with the Prime Minister’s accusations or if the remarks were merely an “election jhumla” aimed at garnering votes during campaigns.
