KTR slams Revanth Reddy govt for ‘chasing Delhi dreams’ amid urea shortage in Telangana
BRS leader KT Rama Rao criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his cabinet for neglecting Telangana’s farmers amid a worsening urea shortage. He accused Congress and BJP MPs of indifference and demanded immediate government action to address the fertiliser crisis.
Hyderabad: Coming down heavily on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his cabinet colleagues for “chasing Delhi dreams” while farmers in Telangana grapple with a worsening urea shortage, BRS working president KT Rama Rao questioned the government’s priorities.
“Farmers are struggling here, but where are the CM and ministers? The problems are in Telangana, but the CM and ministers are in Delhi and Bihar!” he said.
Highlighting the plight of farmers, KTR accused the government of negligence, saying that while farmers were scrambling for urea, the Chief Minister and his colleagues were busy flying to states where elections were being held. He also criticised Congress and BJP MPs for failing to address the crisis.
“Congress MPs are clueless when asked about urea, and BJP MPs don’t even bother to raise the issue,” KTR alleged.
The BRS leader further charged national parties with prioritising votes over people’s welfare. “National parties care about votes, while Telangana’s people bear the brunt,” he said, warning that the public was closely watching the government’s inaction and the indifference of national parties.
KTR demanded immediate action to resolve the urea shortage and address farmers’ grievances. “The government must act swiftly to solve the problems faced by farmers,” he said, stressing that citizens were questioning the State’s leadership and would hold it accountable.
