Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao on Monday expressed outrage over what he described as a shocking disregard for human dignity in the transportation of deceased individuals and their grieving families in Telangana. He questioned the State government’s preparedness, highlighting the absence of basic emergency services like ambulances and hearse vehicles in the context of the Chevella bus tragedy.
“Absolute lack of basic dignity in death!! Are there no ambulances / hearse vehicles in the state? @TelanganaCS,” he wrote, tagging the Chief Secretary.

Rama Rao decried the use of makeshift modes of transport, such as pushcarts, tractors, garbage vans and towing vehicles to ferry the bodies.
“Don’t the dead and their families deserve some basic respect? What is this inhumanity?! Which era are we living in to transport someone’s family on pushcarts, tractors, garbage vans, towing vehicles? Why are we so insensitive as a society?” he asked, calling for immediate accountability.
