Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao came out strongly in support of BRS leader Dr RS Praveen Kumar, condemning the casteist trolling against him on social media.

Calling Praveen Kumar one of the most humble and kind humans he had met, Rama Rao praised his decision to quit a plush job as a civil servant in pursuit of social reform.

“He could not have cared for the society around, but his conscience did not allow it,” he said.

He stated that trolling the former IPS officer in the name of caste showed how low people had fallen as a society. He hoped the trolls would become humans soon, and extended love and sanity in response to the hate.

Meanwhile, Praveen Kumar said casteist comments did not surprise him as they had been part of his life in one form or other for ages.

“But as Swaeroes, we move forward with laser focus on our ultimate goal,” he said.
