Karimnagar: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao would lay foundation for Manair River Front, uninterrupted water supply programme and also pending works under Smart City programme in Karimnagar on March 17.

BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar conducted a review meeting with the officials of Roads and Buildings, electricity, police, municipal and Smart City programme as well as contractors to discuss arrangements for the tour programme at the Collectorate conference hall here on Sunday.


Speaking on the occasion, Kamalakar instructed officials to make all arrangements for the Municipal Minister’s visit and make the tour a big success.

After inaugurating a water pylon at Manair bridge, Rama Rao would lay the foundation for 24×7 water supply scheme and Manair River Front project. He would also lay the foundation for Smart City pending works at Markfed grounds, wherein a photo exhibition of various works done by Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar would be held.

Kamalakar asked officials to make arrangements for the photo exhibition. Besides a dais, seating arrangements would be made for 10,000 people, he instructed and wanted the officials to make arrangements for the Minister’s to conduct a review meeting with the officials of all municipalities by the Municipal Administration Minister.

Instructing the officials to complete inauguration works of the road laid from Kaman to cablebridge, he wanted the authorities to ready the cable bridge for inauguration by June 2 by completing dynamic lighting arrangement.

Karimnagar town would be developed as a famous tourism spot with the completion of the Manair river front project, he said and assured to create an asset for Karimnagar people by developing the up and down stream of Lower Manair Dam. He asked officials to work in that direction.

Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao, Additional Collectors GV Shyamprasad Lal, and Garima Agarwal, municipal commissioner Seva Islavath and others participated in the meeting.
