Hyderabad: BRS working president and former IT Minister KT Rama Rao welcomed reports on the upcoming IT Tower in Adilabad. He hoped that the Congress government would continue the K Chandrashekhar Rao government’s initiative of taking information technology to Tier-2 towns.
This model was designed to boost local employment and attract investment beyond Hyderabad.
Taking to X, Rama Rao noted that the previous BRS government had prioritised decentralising the IT sector, establishing hubs in Nalgonda, Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Mahbubnagar, Khammam, Siddipet, and now Adilabad.
He said the idea was to create plug-and-play facilities for small and medium IT companies, strengthen the startup ecosystem, and develop talent through Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) centres.
