Nalgonda: Following the instructions from Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao, District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil on Saturday handed over a cheque for Rs 5.04 lakh to fluorosis victim Amsala Swamy for construction of double bedroom house in his own land at Shivannagudem of Marriguda mandal.
With this, the two promises made by Rama Rao to Amsala Swamy were fulfilled. Earlier, the Minister had instructed the district officials to set up a salon with Rs 4 lakh to provide a livelihood to the fluorosis victim. When Swamy sent his request to the Minister through WhatsApp for financial help for construction of a house in his land at Shivannagudem, Rama Rao also instructed the Collector to sanction a double bedroom house to Swamy.
Speaking to Telangana Today after receiving cheque from the district Collector, Amsala Swamy said that he wanted to meet Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to thank him for his works towards ending fluorosis problem in the district when he met Rama Rao at Hyderabad on Friday.
The Minister assured to fulfill his desire after the completion of the house. The Minister also positively reacted to his request to visit his house after completion of its construction, he added.
“When I brought the pathetic condition of the fluorosis victims to the notice of KTR, he assured to do justice to them also”, he maintained.
