Hyderabad: The Congress government might be making tall claims over the CapitaLand Group’s investment announcement of Rs 450 crore, but the fact remains that the company management was very much impressed with the previous BRS government and had complimented its vision.

On Saturday, CapitaLand Group, a development company headquartered in Singapore, announced its investment to develop a one million square foot IT park in Hyderabad.

Following this, BRS spokesperson Putta Vishnuvardhan Reddy shared CapitaLand Senior Executive Director Manohar Khiatani’s video of 2023 on X on how the firm had already shown its interest long back and how Saturday’s announcement was a natural fallout.

“Hyderabad’s tremendous growth in the last 8 years was one of a kind.

The Vision that you had can be compared to any Chinese city which was at the peak of its growth” – Mr. Manohar Khiatani, Senior Executive Director, CapitaLand in 2023#HappeningHyderabad #JaiTelangana✊… pic.twitter.com/EtzC5vcgn8

Khiatani had complimented the BRS government and the then Industries Minister KT Rama Rao for the vision and efforts in developing Hyderabad.

In the video, the CapitaLand Senior Executive Director says: “Hyderabad is a critical note for us and some of our Board members have not been here for five years. When we drive through the city, one of our colleagues asked where are we? All the tremendous development in Hyderabad last five to eight years has been one-of-a-kind.”

He also says that the vision was comparable to any Chinese city when it was at the peak of its growth. “It is tremendous,” he adds.
