Labourer killed after speeding Bullet motorcycle hits him in Shamshabad
A 49-year-old labourer died after a speeding Bullet motorcycle allegedly hit him while he was crossing a road near Peddatupra village in Shamshabad. The rider was taken into custody after police registered a case based on a complaint by the victim's wife

Hyderabad: A 49-year-old labourer died after he was allegedly hit by a speeding Bullet motorcycle while crossing a road near the entrance arch of Peddatupra village in Shamshabad on Monday night.
The victim was identified as D. Srinivas, a resident of Peddatupra village in Shamshabad mandal, Ranga Reddy district.
According to the police, Srinivas had attended a family dinner function in the village at around 8 pm on Monday. After having dinner, he reportedly walked towards the village entrance to attend nature’s call.
“At around 10.05 pm, while he was crossing the road near the Chakali Ailamma statue to return to the function, a Bullet motorcycle travelling from Thimmapur towards Maheshwaram allegedly hit him from the right side,” said the police.
The impact threw Srinivas onto the road, leaving him with severe head, abdominal and leg injuries. He was initially shifted to LIMS Hospital in Shamshabad and was later referred to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad for advanced treatment. However, doctors declared him dead early on Tuesday.
Following a complaint lodged by the victim’s wife, D. Padma, the Shamshabad police registered a case. The rider of the motorcycle was identified as Banuri Vijay alias Sambha (28), a private employee and a resident of Muchintala village in Shamshabad mandal. He was taken into custody.
