Bigg Boss Telugu contestant Lahari Shari will be seen in the upcoming movie titled ‘Missamma’. Also starring Shobitha Rana and Arjun Krishna in one of the leads, the movie was formally launched here in the city by Minister for Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav.

Lahari, who was recently seen in Nithiin starrer ‘Maestro’ as a news reporter, has got busy with a slew of movies in Kannada and Telugu languages. The movie ‘Missamma’ is being produced jointly by Hari Inidi and Ramya Kommalapati on Sri Venkateswara Sai Creations.

Directed by newcomers Abhiraj Rupala and Satish VM, the movie is touted to be a thrilling entertainer coupled with elements of science and history. “The film does have a romantic track and human emotions. This would be a unique way of story narrative. The yesteryear film on the same ‘Missamma’ has been regarded as a classic. The latest film merely borrows the title and its subject is entirely new,” said the directors.

Speaking on the occasion, Shobitha Rana expressed happiness bagging the role as lead. “I am very happy to be a part of this project. My character in the movie is crucial.”
