Hyderabad: Telangana High Court has directed the city Police Commissioner to intervene and report the action of three police officials of Banjara Hills Police Station. A two judge panel comprising Justice MS Ramachander and Justice T Amarnath Goud directed the Commissioner to consider a representation made by realtor company Snehitha Builders and submit a report by November 2.
The order is made in a contempt case filed by the company in which the Assistant Commissioner of Police, West Zone and two other police officers of Banjara Hills Station were arrayed as parties. Sukumar Reddy, a resident of Road No 12 Banjara Hills is also a party to the contempt case.
It is alleged that the police interfered with the resident’s property of three plots on Road No 12.
Earlier, the panel in a litigation between the petitioner and the respondent made an order in favour of the petitioner. In spite of the said order and on earlier round of litigation that went up to the apex court and on the very date when the panel made an interim order, a few people trespassed into the land.
The complicity of the police officials is alleged. According to the petitioner K Srinivasa Rao, Assistant Commissioner of Police advised the petitioner to forget about the property and to relinquish rights in order to lead a normal and peaceful life. The panel accordingly directed the petitioner to bring the facts to the notice of Commissioner and the Commissioner in turn to file its report to the court on November 2.
