Hyderabad: The encroachment of lands by former minister Eatala Rajender’s son Nithin Reddy at Ravalkole village in Medchal Malkajgiri district is drawing flak from various quarters.
The former minister allegedly threatened the land owner who hails from his own community, asking the latter to remain silent on the issue, and this has not gone well with the community members. Many of them took to social media to garner support for the victim.
There is a growing demand from the community members who are pressuring the Mudiraj Mahasabha to constitute an inquiry committee to visit the village and verify the facts. Netizens felt that since the entire State was keenly watching the issues unfolding in the case, the community elders must take a judicious path and stand with the victim.
In a social media post, Doultabad ZPTC member Kotla Mahipal Mudiraj advised the Mudiraj Mahasabha leaders to prove their honesty towards the community members and their commitment towards its uplift. He asked them to decide whether they support a land encroacher or the poor victim, when both hail from the same community.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has already responded to the complaint lodged by Peetla Mahesh Mudiraj, a resident of Ravalkole, and directed an in-depth investigation into the land grab allegations.
