Warangal: “Bharat Shanthi Dooth Award”, a peace award was conferred on Indian former Prime Minister late PV Narsimha Rao posthumously by World Peace Festival Society, an NGO based in Warangal, for his outstanding services for India as Prime Minister and in other capacities.
“His daughter and MLC Surabhi Vani Devi will receive this award at a function to be held on September 28 in Hindi Maha Vidyalay premises at Nallakunta in Hyderabad,” according to a press release by the WPFS.
Six other persons who will receive the award including former minister Takkellapally Purushothama Rao, Senior Advocate at Supreme Court Deepak Bhattacharjee, folk singer and poet Gorati Venkanna, Promoter of Rural Innovations Brigadier P Ganesham, Internationally recognised Indian Orthopaedic Surgeon and Joint replacement expert Dr AV Gurava Reddy and educationist Surendra Luniya.
