Medak: Chanda Venkatesham (40), who was working as a guest faculty at Government Junior College, Veldurthy, in Medak district, committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Jammikunta street in Medak town in the early hours of Tuesday.
Venkatesham’s wife Aruna alleged that her husband took the extreme step unable to face the harassment from his woman colleague. Stating that Venkatesh had an affair with the woman colleague, Aruna said the woman lecturer was blackmailing Venkatesh for money. Aruna said the woman had also filed a case against her husband when he refused to give money. Unable to face the harassment, Venkatesh took the extreme step, she alleged. Medak police registered a case and investigations are on.
