Sangareddy: Two calves were killed by a leopard at Mangampet village in Jinnaram Mandal of Sangareddy district during the intervening hours of Tuesday and Wednesday. The leopard attacked cattle in the shed on the forest fringe, killed two calves and took away the carcass of one.

Local farmers, who went in search of the missing calf, sighted the leopard. They immediately informed the forest authorities who rushed to the place. They collected the pug marks and assured payment of compensation to the farmers. The farmers demanded that the officials trap the leopard as its presence was making their movement in agriculture fields difficult.
