Siddipet: Panic gripped Godugupally village in Doulthabad mandal on Tuesday morning after farmers spotted a leopard close to human habitation. The farmers, who had gone to their fields, noticed the leopard hiding in bushes and recorded a video, which they shared with forest officials.

Forest officials reached the spot and were working to ensure the leopard retreated into the forest area. They urged villagers not to move out alone, especially during early morning and late evening hours, and advised those visiting agricultural fields to carry a stick for safety.

The sighting has caused anxiety among locals, who fear the leopard may stray into the village again.
