A leopard has killed two cows in Marlapalli village of Boath mandal, Adilabad, within a span of four days, causing panic among residents. Locals fear further attacks and have urged forest officials to act swiftly.
A leopard sighting on the outskirts of Dharmapuri temple town has prompted forest officials to issue a public alert. Farmers reported spotting the leopard in paddy fields near Kamalapur Road, leading to an investigation by forest beat officer Jeevan and his team.
Two leopards were reportedly sighted on the premises of the Research Centre Imarat (RCI) in Balapur, Hyderabad, causing panic among residents. Forest officials and police are verifying CCTV footage, while the RCI school urged parents to keep children indoors.
According to the forest officials, the leopard movements were captured by a camera trap in Kanigiri hillocks on the outskirts of Bendalapadu village in Chandrugonda mandal on Jan 28.
