Peddapalli: Regional Executive Director (Western Region-II & Southern Region) of National Thermal Power Corporation, Sanjay Madan on Monday reviewed the progress of NTPC-Ramagundam/ Telangana project phase-I, 100-MW floating solar project and 10-MW solar plant.
During his day-long visit to NTPC-Ramagundam, Sanjay Madan along with senior officials visited unit-7, unit-3 and unit-5 FGD area of Ramagundam plant and unit-2 transformer yard area and CCR at Telangana project.
He also inspected the charging of unit auxiliary transformer 2A at the Telangana project. Madan interacted with employees at the site and appreciated their excellent efforts amidst Covid disruption.
Senior officials from NTPC-Ramagundam/Telangana and Regional Headquarters were accompanied by RED during the site visit and review. Earlier, Sanjay Madan inaugurated Lifeskill Academy Block-II and lauded the CSR-CD efforts of NTPC-Ramagundam/Telangana and hoped the academy would work as a catalyst in enhancing the skills of local youth through vocational training and job oriented courses.
The academy aims at providing job-oriented courses and vocational training for the local youth. With the facilities of digital library and training rooms, the academy will help improve the employability/self-employment of the local youth.
Local students of Ramagundam region in the age group of 12 to 25 will be provided free skill-based training and coaching for competitive exams. General Manager, Telangana project, PK Laad, GM (Project) Prasenjit Pal, CMO (Hospital) ER Murthy, GM (Commissioning & Testing) DV Rao, Head of HR Vijaya Lakshmi M, office bearers of unions and associations, CSR officials and others were present on the occasion.
