Hyderabad: Light to moderate rains towards the weekend are expected to chase away the dry and hot weather that has been prevailing over the last couple of weeks in Hyderabad.
According to India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad, a low pressure area has formed off the coasts of Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu in southeastern Bay of Bengal. “We are expecting very light to light showers on Saturday in Hyderabad. Other parts of the state might also witness light rains,” says Dr K Nagaratna, Director of India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad.
According to the forecast by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), while most parts of the city might receive very light showers, the southern areas including Rajendranagar, Malakpet, Charminar, Goshamahal, LB Nagar and Hayathnagar, are likely to witness rainfall between 2.5 mm to 15.6 mm. On Sunday, localities such as Amberpet, Uppal, Falaknuma, and parts of Osmania University campus might also witness light to moderate rainfall.
The maximum temperature in the city is expected to be around 30 to 32 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature will range between 18 to 20 degree Celsius.
Many districts of Telangana including Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Khammam, Suryapet, Nagarkurnool and Wabaparthy, might also witness light to moderate rain on Saturday and Sunday.
