Light to moderate showers soak Hyderabad; districts record extreme rainfall
Venkatapuram in Mulugu district records a maximum of 255 mm rainfall; Hyderabad MET Department issues heavy to very heavy rainfall warning till Friday across Telangana

Hyderabad: Heavy to moderate rainfall relentlessly pounded Telangana over the past 24-hours, with Venkatapuram in Mulugu district recording a maximum of 255 mm. In the city, Shaikpet received up to 88.5 mm of rainfall.
Incessant rainfall across Hyderabad is expected to persist for most part of Wednesday.
Thanks to the inclement weather conditions, the maximum temperatures have also dropped, ranging between 24 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds (30-40kmph) are very likely to occur in the city,” IMD Hyderabad, in its weather forecast for Wednesday in Hyderabad, said.
For districts, however, the Hyderabad MET Department has issued a heavy to very heavy rainfall warning till Friday.
The districts that have received heavy to very heavy rainfall warning include Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Peddapalli, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem.
Heavy rainfall warning has been issued for Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Vikarabad and Mahabubnagar districts.
